In Group Coaching, several participants come together, each pursuing an individual goal that can be achieved independently of the other members of the group. The coach’s role is to surface the group’s collective intelligence, activate and integrate the diverse talents and perspectives of the participants, and facilitate their exchange and reflection. This creates a learning process that enables each individual to achieve their own objective more effectively.
In Team Coaching, by contrast, there is a single shared goal that all participants work towards together. The coach’s role is to support the team in reflecting on its interaction patterns and ways of working in relation to this common objective. At the same time, the coaching process strengthens awareness of working as a unified team rather than as a collection of separate individuals.
