In group coaching, there are several participants, each with their own goal that can be achieved individually and independently of the other members of the group. The coach’s role is to bring out the group’s collective intelligence and the different talents of each participant, combine them, and help process and rework them so that each person can reach their own goal more effectively.
In team coaching, there is one shared goal for all participants, and everyone contributes to achieving it. The coach’s role is to encourage the team to reflect on its practices and ways of interacting in relation to the shared goal, while increasing each person’s awareness of working as a team rather than as separate individuals.
